Now in its 10th year, the funds raised by 9runrun participants and their donors, will support the Ottawa First Responders Foundation. Mental\u00a0health issues\u00a0among police, firefighters and paramedics are an issue that must be addressed and talked about. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a frightening and increasingly common occurrence for first responders on the job. In fact, first responders are at least twice as likely to suffer PTSD compared to the general population. It can be devastating for those suffering from mental health issues when they do not have proper support. Adding to the issues is the stigma that still exists surrounding mental illness. We encourage you to participate in the event or consider donating to this very worthwhile cause.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2c93d1c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2c93d1c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">This Year\u2019s Events<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fde4baf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fde4baf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Join the men and women of Ottawa\u2019s Fire, Police and Paramedic service in the event that best suits your physical ability. All proceeds will be going towards the Ottawa First Responders Foundation.
